Reading with Rauhine in Hokitika!

One of our goals at The Reading Revolution is to get shared reading groups set up across the country! Kate recently visited Hokitika and held a Read to Lead training course, where she met the lovely Rauhine, pictured here leading her reading group at the local rest home. Unfortunately, the members of her group were a little camera shy.
Here’s Rauhine introducing herself in her own words:

~“Tena koutou, my name is Rauhine Coakley. I am the Community Engagement Librarian at Westland District Library in Hokitika. I got to do the Reader Leader training through work and I absolutely loved it! I learnt so much, even though I have been facilitating reading groups for some time. My goal now is to slow down and enjoy more discussion time and really give people the chance to pick apart the text.”~ A very warm welcome to Rauhine and all the other volunteers in Hokitika to the Reading Revolution squad! Wishing you the very best with your reading groups
