November Read to Lead

Our first in house Read to Lead was held in November for seven new Reading Revolution volunteers. It was really exciting to see such a diverse mix of ages genders and cultures all working together to become Reader Leaders. We all felt like we had been through an intense experience by the end of 3 days!
New groups emerging from this training include a public library group in East Auckland, a care home on the North Shore, a CBD group held in Mandarin for new migrants, a group for young people with anxiety and a group for Rainbow youth.
We are so thrilled to be able to serve more diverse New Zealand communities. We support our volunteers to work within the community of their choice as a team as we feel this is more fun and sustainable.
