Kia ora reading friends,
Only yesterday at Rānui library we were merrily reading the poem The Song of the Open Road by Walt Whitman and suddenly our open road is the good old walk around the block again! We all found this poem inspiring so hopefully it will encourage me to get off my computer and take a walk this week!
We are thinking of you and your whanau at this time.
We hope that your bubble is safe and sound and that you haven’t been caught short without enough books & biscuits!
Our wonderful team have already stepped up and Rhi is offering shared reading via Zoom today (Wednesday August 18th) at 2pm. (See Meetup group for link)
Alisha and Om are also offering shared reading via a new platform called Remotely tomorrow evening(Thursday August 19th) at 6pm.
Please RSVP through Meetup for this one & the link is also there.
Remotely has wonderful sound quality but is different to Zoom in that there is no camera. So we all appear as cute little avatars in a little cozy room! Give yourself 5 or 10 minutes to join if you haven’t before as you will need to create your little person… It’s fun!
Please do not hesitate to get in touch if you are keen to host or join a session or you have any questions!
(We will update with more publicly available online groups as we go along)
Looking forward to seeing you soon as little squares…
