Wellington Read to Lead

Tēnā koutou all Wellington Readers!
We are coming to your town offering the amazing opportunity to attend our Read to Lead course.
If you want to offer your community meaningful connection through the shared reading magic, join us!
Dates are not yet confirmed but will be over a Friday / Saturday / Sunday
Day 1: is based around experiential learning, participating in shared reading and unpacking that experience.
Day 2: we dive deeper into the techniques of shared reading and you will have a go leading the group in a shared reading on a short story excerpt.
Day 3: you will each lead the group for 20 minutes and get one on one time with a trainer to discuss your experience at the end.

The three day Read to Lead course is a combination of group work and individual assessment and covers the following topics:

• Preparing the literature
• Listening and responding
• Managing Group dynamics
• Facilitating change
• Leadership through literature
• Recruitment
• Reading communities
• Shared Reading research
